22ND RASSEGNA NAZIONALE DEGLI OLI MONOVARIETALI 2025
We are proud to announce that three of Trebbio's monovarietal extra virgin olive oils—Leccio del Corno, Leccino, and Frantoio—have been distinguished at the 22nd Rassegna Nazionale degli Oli Monovarietali.
Organized by AMAP (Agenzia per l’Innovazione nel Settore Agroalimentare e della Pesca) in collaboration with the Istituto per la BioEconomia (IBE-CNR), the Rassegna is not a competition but a scientific and cultural initiative aimed at enhancing the biodiversity of Italian olive cultivation. Each year, it gathers producers, experts, and enthusiasts to evaluate and celebrate the unique characteristics of monovarietal oils derived from Italy's rich array of native olive varieties.
Trebbio's oils underwent rigorous sensory analysis by the AMAP-Marche regional panel, recognized by MASAF since 2004, and chemical analysis by the accredited Centro Agrochimico Regionale of AMAP.
The results are as follows:
Leccio del Corno: Scored 8.0/10, noted for its medium-intense herbaceous fruitiness, with distinct notes of artichoke and almond, and pronounced bitterness and pungency.
Leccino: Scored 7.8/10, characterised by medium-intense herbaceous fruitiness, hints of almond and artichoke, subtle aromatic herbs, and medium-high bitterness and pungency.
Frantoio: Scored 7.7/10, exhibiting medium-intense herbaceous fruitiness, with almond and artichoke notes, and medium-high bitterness and pungency.
These evaluations contribute to the national database of monovarietal oils, providing valuable insights into the sensory and chemical profiles of Italy's olive varieties and supporting the preservation and appreciation of its olivicultural heritage.
Our recognition at this esteemed event underscores our commitment to producing high-quality, varietal-specific olive oils that reflect the unique terroir of our region.
